i haven't done much writing about the research yet, i know. it's the pivotal crux of my summer, i haven't forgotten. this portion of it just happens to be up action in terms of my personal taste for research. looking online for information? awesome. reading books and articles and highlighting what's important? fun! making calls and being given the run-around as we plan for interviews? this is so not my favorite part. i would so much rather just sit around taking instagram pictures of my many scattered diy projects, write poetry, prose, and ponder on a new summer wardrobe. as frustrated as i can get, i have to sit back and remember where i'm coming from and where the people i speak to on the phone, who actually work at these organizations that are changing lives, are coming from. and i can't fault anyone. i just have to do my part, make my calls, speak with confidence and understanding, act with patience, and trust that what happens will be what is supposed to happen.
until june 1st, i will most likely continue to write little about the research and more about crafts. hopefully as the summer goes on, i will still be able to post some crafts as i engage more in my thoughts about what i've been learning.
