diy for under 5

remember this jar i bought for $0.50?

well i added to it this bottle of blue enamel paint ($2.29 at michaels):

and now i have a pretty cool blue decorative jar/ vase for my room in the Fall.

so there you have it!  the steps are simple: (1) clean the inside, (2) dry the inside, (3) add the paint on the inside, (4) swirl paint around, shake it until it covers the inner-surface, (5) sit out to dry.

this is a bigger bottle than i've done before so i had to shake it a lot, but i got the job done with just one bottle of paint so it's worth it!  however, for those tough to reach spots i had to get a little creative.

 having a craft toothbrush is a good idea for painting the inside of jars you can't fit your hand into.
